Bought raspberry pi 4 model b today

It's so much better than using dns apps.

I cinfigure on my isp network and any device connected to the network uses that dns , so don't have to configure on 10 devices we use.

If you want to whitelist or blacklist any website , it's very easy to do so.

Tried many dns apps like the one you said, but having a private dns is very effective.

Nextdns is private dns. You can configure it on your router and it works for every device. Don't need to do on each one.

Kids for 5th grade or 6th grade emaina untaya ilantivi. to begin to start logical reasoning or kind of basic understanding of logics or math or such kind of stuff.

india lo motham bookish untunnayi not much practical sense in learning, just wanted to let my cousins know about things which help kids to improve their logical reasoning.

Looks like for the free plan you only get, 300K queries per month. https://nextdns.io/pricing.
My Current Pi-hole dashboard shows 35K queries per day. I would be using nextdns as a regular dns server after 9 days every month. 

Just making the case strong for Pi-hole ( Lifted from some other forum) 

PiHole Pros:
  * PiHole is open source.
    * The NextDNS server code is closed-source, but they do have an open-source CLI client.(Just *****)
  * PiHole is self-hosted (much better from a privacy perspective).
    * But you do get all the downsides of being responsible for hosting something as central as a DNS server yourself...

-NextDNS is a product with a free tier. It will always be limited in that sense.

+Pihole is free and open. It is also yours to build,manage,customize as you please.

-NextDNS is also further away, meaning there will be much more latency for all your DNS queries. It is usually best to run your own resolver, or have a local DNS server in your network.

+Pihole sits on a device on your network. You can also enable recursion directly on the pihole by installing Unbound on the same device.

NEXTDNS or Pihole ###
NextDNS and Pihole are same kind of service that provide basic DNS service( DNS name to IP resolution)  with extra bells and whistles like some filtering, adblock , UI,DNS logs etc. I would suggest a Pi-hole if you have Pi-4. 

VPN ###
Simple terms lo VPN is just a secure tunnel between two end points.( One is VPN server on the PI-4 and other being VPN end client your mobile or laptop)
A virtual private network (VPN) gives you online privacy and anonymity by creating a private network from a public internet connection.

One more example for this would be your office Laptop VPN Cisco or Global protect etc. where the VPN client on your laptop connects to your company VPN server creating a secure tunnel between your work laptop and corp. network for secure connection.

If your usage is that high you should. I didn't setup at router level. Only did at phone and iPad. I'm using around 5K per day. Unless your family is big you don't need more than 10K per day. But again it's a free option.

Chalane Projects vuntayi bro with Pi. You also get kits pre assembled kits with minimal work for completing the projects to help out kids as well. I personally have not tried or bought any. Check the few below links to begin with.

You don't need a big family to hit 10K queries. In my home there are 7 devices that connect to internet, somedays of the week pi-hole serves upto 50K queries. 

 These days any smart device tries to phone home and send data constantly like smart TVs. Try enabling on your smart tv and you will be surprised. My Samsung TV's gets blocked 1500 times per day trying to access some samsung sites.  
Also try connecting your work laptops you will get at least 2-3k, at least mine does. 

 Check this for my top blocked sites for the past 24 hours.

Dashboard.

You are right, if you want a simple solution on few devices less than 300k queries NextDNS is the way to go. But if you have a Pi lying around, Pi-hole would be a better option.
