Vallaki poyedi em vundi bro. More Filing fee, 140 downgrade fee and some will keep renewing h1b. So won't be surprised if they keep moving dates even though GCs are not issued. filing Applications accept sesi pakkana padestharu. 

They knew this mess will happen last october. But still moved the dates for money. EAD renewal ki kooda fee pettaru anukunta if I am not wrong, but court stopped it anukunta.

Rahul Reddy says there is 40-50% chances that your medical will be attached to your file using interfiling.
It is just like downgrading in PP. For me in my first try it got accepted and approved but for others applications accepted after many tries.
In worst case we will be losing few hundred dollars but if it we are lucky and it works then there is a better chance of getting GC soon.
In this time even saving a month is huge because now we have only 15 months (till Sep 2022) to get greened.
We can just try our options whatever is on our hand.
If we miss this opportunity and if just 3000 people are ahead of you in the line then it will take around 4 years.

Questions:

1) i140 downgrade not done --> Should i have to do it? Can i do it directly by paying to Laywer firm as employer is not willing to PP the 140?

2) Medicals, should i have to obtain medical reports and the Interfile or shall wait till RFE?

It all depends on how busy is ur FO , if FO is not crazy , it will get transferred  else will stay at same location for further processing.
