No, but due to COVID they are allowing to work for 6 months after renewal is pending. Typically renewals will cum in 1-2 months (pre-covid). So it’s advisable to file before 6 months of expiry. You cannot travel either. In case of emergency, go to local USCIS office and request emergency AP if you have travel plans when your renewal is pending.

First time approvals are different from renewals usually. But it won’t be like this bad usually.

6-months emo wait cheyali kada after u got EAD (I-765) ? 
Nenu Adhe plan lo unna, promotion ichada ok, Leda jump autha to other .. ipudu elago Antha remote, so no worries about relocation too
