i485 interview schedule ayindi? i131 and i765 still pending...what's next after the interview? Wifes H4 is expiring by end of Sept...still in dilemma to file for an extension

Usually, you get an approval on the day of your interview or at the max in a few days. Some times they send the case to "Needs review" status(This is when the case officer sends your file to his supervisor for final approval) but that doesn't happen very often.

thanks for the info.Say if its approved the same day and the card post do i still need to renew the h4 ead to continue working?..say our ead is expiring on 09/25 and we still dont have card on hand but we know its approved

First your case status changes to "New Card is being Produced" and the next day or two status will be updated to "Case is Approved". The date when the status reflects "Case is approved" your 485 approval notice will be mailed. The day of approval is when your status as an Alien changes from "Non-Immigrant" to "Immigrant". That date will be the "resident since" date on your GC. You no longer need any non-immigrant(h1b/h4) status from that date.
