I doubt it. That 1 year rule is about you need to apply for 485 within an year of your date becoming current. Even this I heard multiple opinions.

If you passed 180 days from 485 filing and yiur office where you filed is going to exist technically you need not do anything 

In case of the office it's elf is going away file 485j  supplement

I am in a similar situation ..Current as of july 1st straight EB2 . But my H1 expires in Aug , applied for H1 ext last week in premium..I will update you once the decision is received.
