jamesbond Posted January 9, 2021 Report Posted January 9, 2021 Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan’s Krack had been widely promoted as Jan 9th release, a week ahead of Sankranthi festival. The film is expected to release on a bang and end the woes of Ravi Teja and Shruti who are waiting for a big break to bounce back. However, dashing all the hopes, the film’s release has been pushed into quandary. While reports are it that financial issues have halted the film’s release, it is buzzed that there is Spyder connection. Going into details, Tagore Madhu, who is the producer of Krack, is one of the producers of Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss Spyder. It is known that Spyder hadn’t fared well at the theatres as expected. This resulted in losses to Madhu and other producers. Apparently, some distributors, who had only paid advances to producers, had not returned balance payments to producers of Spyder showing the poor collections of the film. All these in turn have affected Madhu. And he couldn’t pay a financier to the tune of Rs 10 Crore. It is buzzed that Madhu is yet to settle him since then. Even Madhu who presented Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram too faced similar release hurdles. Now, the said financier is adamant on getting his dues cleared before the release of Krack. He vowed to stop the release of Krack and moved the court and got a stall over the film’s release. So, Madhu needs to settle the financier for Krack release. With these financial and legal issues, Krack’s release was put on hold. The film’s US Premieres and morning, matinee shows in India were all cancelled. It is strongly buzzed that some industry heads have involved in the issue and trying to sort out the issue. However, the financier is keen on his old payment. It needs to be seen whether Krack’s first shows and second shows would be screened as per the schedule today. This is the Spyder connection to Krack’s delay. Quote
