How to apply Indian visa for new born usa baby?

I'm aware of CKGS contract with the Government of India has ended on October 31st, 2020. and VFS isn't providing Indian Visa services.

Indianvisaonline.gov.in says

"E-VISA services are currently not available in your area. Please contact the nearest Indian Embassy, Consulate or Indian VISA Application Centre."

Full complicated process enti ra babu..

bro if you planning India in near dont think they allowing visa entry, oci is your best bet

Does the baby have a US passport? if no apply one 
does the baby have a birth certificate issued ? if no get one from local county registrar office and then apply for passport immediately, might need to go to local USPS that mandates that they take the picture of the baby .

after you receive the US passport, you can now apply for Indian Visa or OCI,  since visa services and evisa are  out of syllabus for now , apply for OCI 

Steps for OCI 

go to this web site https://ociservices.gov.in/welcome

 fill up OCI form submit all required documents online ..... including parents authorization letter (notarized, find this in mandtory checklist)

once done  download OCI form and checklist for minors, gather all documents as per it.

get page 3 of OCI form also notarized with both parents signature. 

now go to VFS website, pay oci fees and download shipping labels 

ship original us passport with application and chillax for 4 weeks

OCI tho there is no time upper limit to stay in india, visa tho limit undhi 

OCI is always better than visa and that is always better than evisa

Yep, BC and SSN okesari apply chesthey ichesthaaru in 2-3 weeks after baby birth 

then comes applying for passport (need to send original BC with application )

then once passport is in hand, apply for OCI/visa/Evisa

i faced this in 2019 and was able able to let wife and kid go with parents to india in under 6-7 weeks after birth

for indian entry visa there are two ways to have it..one is e-visa where you could apply and get everything done online which is now disabled

second is through this link where you need to fill and send out passport to nearest consulate for stamping. This you can stay max 6 months in india but can renew through FRRO.. follow below thread

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. Yes, we have baby Passport, ssn and Birthday certificate. Some reason, I personally don't like OCI. But looks like I don't have any option.
