Teenager gives gift of life to seven!

Can anyone save seven lives without being a doctor? Difficult to believe, but a second year student of Osmania Medical College, Samagna, did just that.

The teenager, who died on Friday, gave a new lease of life to seven persons.

Her mother, Uma Shanker, and brother fulfilled her wish of organ donation.

MOHAN Foundation retrieved her kidneys, liver, heart valves and eyes the same night and transplanted them on deserving patients at Kamineni Hospitals, Global Hospitals, Star Hospitals and L.V. Prasad Eye Institute respectively.

According to her mother, Samagna was a gifted child and well behaved. “I don't think we will ever find a child like her. I am a proud mother,” remarked Uma Shanker.

Samagna was the best outgoing student from Johnson Grammar School who secured highest marks in Telugu in tenth class, and obtained 348th rank in EAMCET.

She would constantly talk about ethics in medicine and advise everyone in the family about the importance of being contended with what one had.  On September 14, Samagna complained of severe headache and later had vomiting.  Despite a series of medical consultations and medication, she did not recover.  Finally she was rushed to Kamineni Hospital where she was put on ventilator. Unfortunately, Samagna never recovered and was declared “brain dead” on Friday. A couple of months ago, she asked everyone in the family to pledge for organ donation, said MOHAN Foundation's CEO, K. Raghuram.

This shows that GOD is very selfish ... He  dint had any right to her life !!!!!! I sincerely wish her soul Rests in Peace ... I hope we all give all our blessings to their parents who have given birth to this GOD's dearest girl and give them strength to handle this situation. And I wish those 7 people for a GOOD LIFE AHEAD !!!!!
