What is the difference between autobiography and biography?

Autobiography (Athma Katha) is the life history of a person written by himself or herself; whereas biography (Jeevitha Charitra) is a life history of a person written by somebody else. But our megastar and Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi does not know this basic difference between autobiography and biography.

Speaking to the media after watching the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil film “Periyar Ramaswamy,” at Prasad Labs, Chiranjeevi said the film was an “autobiography” of the social reformer Periyar Ramaswamy, who strived for the uplift of weaker sections in Tamil Nadu. “Everybody should take inspiration from the autobiography of Periyar Ramaswamy. At a time when the values in politics were going down, it is appreciable to picturise his life history which had changed the political scenario of Tamil Nadu,” he said.

Well, Chiranjeevi needs some tutoring before he speaks on such important issues.
