Lonelyloner Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 I think the practice of burning the dead evolved in later stages of human evolution when the fear of the spirits cropped up. They probably believed that the spirit could rise from the dead body to haunt them further. So, why not burn the body to ashes and finish? No body, no spirit, right? But, burial is widely practiced throughout the world. No one is right but cremation is expensive and the rituals...I'm scared of spirits ...lol Quote

Epic Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 Burial helps other living beings feed on the body and grow, where as body will be useless if burnt. 2 Quote

Tyler_durden Posted January 17, 2021 Report Posted January 17, 2021 Burial is a natural process , all animals get decomposed and turn to mud. Cremation is for those who are scientific and hygienic. 1 1 Quote
