Real Craze For Whom? Brindavanam Or Rakta Charitra Or Khaleja

The time has come for the Tollywood audience to brace themselves for a fiesta of big budget and big star films. Each film is a crucial one not just for the audience but also for the stars themselves as they are in a key phase of their career.

While superstar Rajinikanth is arriving with ‘Robo’, Ram Gopal Varma is coming up with his controversial and hard hitting ‘Rakta Charitra’, young tiger NTR junior is up with ‘Brindaavanam’ while prince Mahesh Babu is seen in ‘Khaleja’.

Now, the question is arising as to who has the real craze amongst all these stars. The hype has been quite high about each film but when the time comes, it is the audience whose taste matters. ‘Brindaavanam’ is all about the NTR jr mania and the glamour quotient of Kajal and Samantha. On the other hand, ‘Khaleja’ is about the coming back of Mahesh Babu and his pairing up with Anushka for the first time.

As for ‘Rakta Charitra’, it is Ram Gopal Varma’s hard hitting treat based on the real life stories of factionists Paritala Ravi and Maddelacheruvu Suri. So far, the focus has been on ‘Rakta Charitra’ since it has got an element of truth and also a pan Indian presence as it is being made in Hindi as well.

Though there is Rajini’s ‘Robo’, it is a dubbing film at the end of the day. ‘Brindaavanam’ is more of a formula entertainer while ‘Khaleja’ is a typical Trivikram Srinivas trademark film. Though there is an admiration for these heroes, Ramu stands a league apart as he is more of a brand and carries an obsession which is infectious.

Well, it is for time to answer when the box office reports begin to arrive for each film.
