Instate tution fee is not that expensive..like in michigan MSU(michigan state university) costs about 25 to 30k per year.. if instatate kakapote appudu almost double avuddi..

Again overall 4 year 120k for boarding and lodging

That also if planned like 5 to 10 yrs save cheste plan tho not big deal..it all depends on planning for multiple child's u need to good planning with 529 accounts

True but if parents planned 529 over 7to 10 yrs period it automatically grows up to thst amount is my meaning if first two years community college with under 3k to 5k per year max finish aipoddi also close to home for kids no boarding and lodging expenses then transfer to main university last two years..also scholarships vaste asalu inka costs taggutayi..community college aite mostly evening and nights full day kids can work also ..these are most options ppl follow..

Exactly bro!! 529 gurinchi idea ledhu kani, CC two years lo almost 60 credits finish cheskovachu (1/2 degree) with less money and anni general ed. Main courses ki last two years state school with decent rep

(AR 45-75%) and accreditation good internships and good jobs vasthayyi. Kani mana vallu show off ki big name schools ani dumb decisions teskuntaru. But research and medicine and specific ga e school ki vellali ani big goals untey that’s diff story. Normal IT or programming jobs cheskovali anukune vallaki decent state is good choice.

bros, my thought is for my friend (he sure somehow will pay for his daughter college fee here in US..thats how indian parents are). 40s, 50s lo job search...enni years work chesina still not stable financially....middle age lo jobsearch ela untundoo emo. living in US in middle age--is it right decision. ofcouse india lo life is not easy or cheap, bummer laa undi.

erukkupoyamemo....

Sidetracked thread. Sorry.

actually 40 or 50 ki job change avthuntharu not a big deal. Just be prepared for anything in life. Only thing that shuld bother you is GAP. Big gaps em lekunda twaraga jobs ravali ani fingers crossed. Job change is expected anytime for any reason.

Yah that’s the only way actually or taking breaks or registering few credits each sem. Even with two jobs, it is impossible to pay 10-13k every semester.  President maafi only dreams lo they only say but never do anything. sSa_j@il

Appatilo vachina vallaki savings and college expenses oka idea untayyi and kids ki best ga plan cheskoni untaru no doubt .. yah people take extra years to finish college which is not a bad thing.. 21 ki graduate ayyi job chesi peekedhi em undi.. stress lekunda 23-24 ki graduate ayina they will have plenty of time to settle down. In state eppudu tuition pencharu inka covid valla next sems ki kuda fees peruguthundi emo as many colleges lost so much already.. in state lo per sem around 8-15k untadi..

I took a break from DB, back again now with some confusion going in my mind....

A friend (he was my coworker) in 40s/middle age, he has 2 daughters(10th and 7th grade), his wife is homemaker.

he called me yesterday...he started saying that he needs to find a better job as his daughter will start college in 2 yrs and his earnings

are not enough when she starts college, he said he can't move to another location, his mother sick in india, how he can't visit her now.

even if he visits, he can't stay more than 2,3 weeks due to family obligations....

endi bhayya edi....40s lo kuda ela untee..40s lo job search endi baa...enni days work chesi mari kids college fee ki dabbu takkuva etc

where are we going..what are we striving for.... ani oka question bothering me.

just go with the flow anukuntunna but........

sharing a though here!
