Americans just take education loan ... Indians feel obligation to pay the college fees..which is a lot especially if its private school ... we are talking about 100k per year (after tax). Real inflation in last 3 years is almost 50%. In your friends case, growing daughters already add lot to monthly expenses - their clothes, food , extra curricular activities. What I am saying is - if your pay is constant or barely cought up with inflation, its difficult to afford 100K per kid. Quote
