Covaxin Facing Troubles For International Distribution

Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, the India's indigenous Covid vaccine is facing some trouble with respect to international acceptance.

Indian government has decided to donate 8.1 lakh doses of Covaxin to some countries like Myanmar, Mongolia, Oman, Bahrain, Philippines, Maldives and Mauritius.

But the news that Covaxin is still in "clinical trial mode" and its efficacy data is still not clear, the countries and its citizens are hesitating to accept the shots.

On the other than the free doses of Serum Institute's Covishield is sent to Maldives, Mauritius, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Seychelles and Bangladesh successfully by the Indian government as a goodwill gesture.
