Guy I know his h1 got picked in 2014 and got i797 Never went for stamping - just left it unused- probably that i797 is expired as well can he now file extension thru current employer (or) find a new employer and transfer? IMO- If his H1 is valid, he can transfer the H1 to new employer. If his H1 is expired l, I don’t know how he can transfer to new employer. immigration attorney can suggest best.
