Duration:  1 Year

This candidate will be leveraging his/her developer background in a
highly technical
environment building and writing Automation Test Scripts.
This is not a tool driven role, point n click, or play and record
role. The candidate will
most likely have to write sql commands, code C#, ASP, .Net related
script scenarios and
be advanced enough of a thinker to work with the limitations of MS
VSTS automation
tools.
For writing, executing and managing Master Test Plans and Detail Test
Plans
Possessing knowledge and experience with various test automation
techniques
including:
• Record and playback
• Data driven
• Key word driven
• Understanding and applying configuration and release management
concepts

Responsibilities

Own scoping, planning and delivery of test artifacts (environment,
designs, test cases, results,
defect reporting etc.).
Monitor all test activities and required hardware and software for
testing.
Review all issues raised during testing cycles, identifying the nature
of the issue and directing
the generation of an issue report when appropriate to document the
issue.
Own the Test Plans for all the streams of testing for the engagement.
Lead and manage test team and activities.
Review and approve the test artifacts developed by the test team.
Review defect items found during testing.
Ensure mapping of test artifacts to the requirements in TFS.
Work with Build Manager/Release Manager to integrate Automated Testing
into Builds;

Required Qualifications

ASP development Needed
.NET skills required
C# skills required
Prefer someone with at least 3-5 years of developer background
Experience in full software development lifecycle for products both in
functional and non-
functional testing
Incremental/iterative and/or Agile testing experience
Test case design and development experience
Experience in defect tracking, management and prioritization
Experience in designing and revising test scenarios
Test execution, analysis and reporting experience
Experience in writing test scripts, web and load testing using Visual
Studio Team Suite (VSTS)
2008
Proficiency in MS SQL Server 2005 or higher, and test data generation
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable Skills:

Experience with shipping products, with at least 3 full ship cycles
delivering a medium-to-large
scale product
Proficiency with HP/Mercury or IBM/Rational testing toolset
Experience with test infrastructure and reporting technologies, e.g.,
SQL Server Reporting
Services, or SharePoint Excel Services
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Test and Lab Management
Background in Performance Testing is a plus!
Background in writing Performance Test Scenarios is a Plus!
Background in writing and creating Performance Test Plans is a Plus!
