Anta Assamey Posted January 30, 2021 Report Posted January 30, 2021 Like announced the other day about increasing the limits in theaters’ existing 50 percent seating occupancy, the Information, and Broadcasting ministry made it happen today. Currently, theaters are operating with 50 percent occupancy. Now the limits have been increased and the theaters permitted 100 percent seating capacity in single screens and multiplexes as well. The same order in the states will be implemented as per the SOP in the respective states. This becomes a huge relief for theater owners and film makers in Telugu states, as they were on an announcement spree for the last few days. More than 15 popular films have locked release dates in the last one week and the 100% occupancy will cheer them up more and also the audience who have been waiting to throng the theaters like pre-covid times. Although 100 percent seating occupancy is permitted, the generic measures are to be followed to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19. The measures include adequate physical distancing of at least 6 feet to be followed outside the auditoriums, common areas, and waiting areas at all times. Face mask usage is mandatory. Quote
