Unlike Kia they don't need to be close to the Chennai auto hub . 

AP has no electrical car infrastructure or skilled labour . 

The ideal places will be Gujarat , tamil nadu , Karnataka , Maharashtra - already started work on lithium ion factories . They already have several companies that have manufacturing facilities for electrical cars . 

Tesla is also very prestigious facility and hence most of these states will match whatever incentives we give . 

Also they have already registered athe R&D center is Bengaluru in 2018 itself , so it makes sense to have the plant close to Bengaluru

Isuzu came in kkr time itself . 

You have to appreciate CBN for kia , he used the death of Jayalalithaa oppurtunisticly , tamil nadu was completely unstable at that time . 

So he had to give more subsidies than Karnataka to attract it . honestly AP ki emi choosi invest chestaru except subsidies and being near Chennai hub .

Karnataka is a stable hub for a long time , they don't need to gi e such incentives . We don't even have skilled labour in AP because our education facilities are poor . 

Kia lo 90% of the skilled positions are tamilians , same way sricity lo kooda 70% tamilians untaru

Big heads are involved, BJP government, Gujarat elections next year, Amit Shah's home turf and adjacent constituency, Adani's Mundra  port near by, proposed bullet train project near by, Already quite a few auto makers presence...TSLA to Gujarat is like Nano to Modi.
