How did she get sleeping pills??? When I was in high school, one of my uncle wanted calmpose or compose  pills, he sent me to pharmacy, they did not give to me and asked for doctor prescription.

Being a pharma student probably she might have gotten access. 

When i was in college , one of my senior gal grabbed handful of sodium nitroprusside powder from biochemistry lab and killed herself by ingesting that.
