To understand TN, you need to live there. TN is like some European countries like Swden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, France and etc. They don't care if you are north indian, american or alien as long as you integrate into their social system trhough language and their culture. That's how a Kannadiga/Maharastrian become the top hero there, aa Mysorian (JJ) became the state CM, another writer (Karunanidhi) with roots in Chittor/Ongole became CM. MGR also has some Malayalee roots. Many politicians and movie people like ViGo, Bagyaraj, Vijayakath and etc speak Telugu at home. How many states do you see outsiders being accepted to those extreme levels? And watch old and 80s/90s movies, their movies include strong Indianism. At the same time they don't leave their roots. Being grounded to your roots doesn't make you an anti-national. Sadly thats how it has been turned into now. 3 Quote
