San Francisco TO RE-OPEN INDOOR DINING, FITNESS, MUSEUMS

Indoor dining and other activities that have been shuttered or severely curtailed for more than three months will resume in San Francisco Wednesday morning, as coronavirus cases continue to drop and the county moves into a less restrictive tier in the state’s pandemic reopening plan.

Mayor London Breed and public health director Dr. Grant Colfax announced Tuesday that San Francisco will move into the state’s red tier, which means that certain activities pose less of a risk to residents than they did a few weeks ago. With some exceptions, San Francisco’s reopening aligns with what is permitted by the state.

Santa Clara County also is moving into the red tier, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday.
