Single ga vunte possible but still it’s a risk. If you have commitments like marriage, mortgage how can you even think of risking that ?? 

OPT lo vunnappudu khali ga vunde CPT lo vunnappudu kuda I had money energy and time to travel still I didn’t do. When I look back I thought I should have done coz if visa thing go south I thought of moving back to India but same level of risk I cannot take now.

By the time of getting gc reserve balance would be atleast 2-3 yrs of mortgage, and home purchase just an addition to equity. If there is house there is always a chance to rent it out, unless you went with some huge single family home in the outskirts of nowhere. Never look at home as commitment it's just an investment that you can always sell. You will also have an option to recover other investments because of free travel. Coming to family and kids that's a personal option

Mine was FT & h1b extn rejected for different reasons. So I end up in India now.

the only people who call this country home are businessmen ... if you can do business irrespective of visa status, you can call this a home too
