Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a Small Business Owner, a Legal Immigrant from India who loves America and chose America to be my home. I started with $9 an hour telemarketing job, and now I am small business woman, I own a Real Estate Brokerage and a Construction company, though small. I have been raised with great stories about how wonderful America is, from my dad who studied in the U.S. in the 70's and my mom who was a Political Science Professor. Ever since I came to America, I saw a land, so different from other parts of the world. People are so good and the love is boundless. And people are righteous. They will help you if you are in trouble. It is paradise. Almost everyone is extremely good. There is Godliness in most people. And I love our country. I was born with Hindu culture, and got baptized to Christianity. My father, my brother and my sister are my family, along with 3 dogs. 2 Rescue dogs, Roxy and Cali, and my first puppy, Abby. I am blessed.

General Washington and Winston Churchill. Courage is a trait that I love, and they have displayed it and they were righteous. And now Pres Trump. Trump has proved-Dream, work hard, be tenacious, be courageous and fulfill your dream. He is my personal role model. He has taught me that unless you have courage, and tenacity, your dreams won't come true. And to be courageous even if the whole world is against you. He is a man of Steel, and may have more impact because I got to watch him.

Integrity and compassion

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Integrity and Courage. Honesty.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Meet with constituents. Help them with their federal issues. And vote on Federal Policy.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The Gulf War. My father was in America. We were in India. All we heard was that America was at war with Iraq. Back in those days, we didn't have cable, no one really knew how strong America was or Iraq was, just that there is war. We couldn't reach my father for a couple of days, because he was working and the landphone was the only phone. Plus time difference. My mother was so worried, and we were worried to. I was 12.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Telemarketer at Silverleaf Resorts. Worked for about 2 years, from 2002-2004.

No. We want people who bring fresh ideas, and people who are not used to the Swamp.

Yes. Committees that will help my district like Transportation and Infrastructure

Yes.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

Absolutely need them. I believe that was what our founding fathers intended. Power corrupts and power in one person for a long time is not good for our country.

I would be a freshman, so no.

Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

I have met a Veteran who fought in Iraq. He got blown up and survived but have recurring health issues. He explained to me how hard it is to get VA healthcare, and it boggled my mind. It was extremely heart wrenching to see how our Veterans are being treated. He gave up and has private health insurance now. That story will always stay with me and therefore I want to do something for our Armed Forces to get the BEST pay and healthcare.
