Meeru, financial responsibilities  ela deal chestaru intlo, if both man and woman are working  and earning  . Ee vishayam Lo before marriage evana red flags untaya ? Does a man have to pay for everything  ? I would feel uncomfortable generally in asking a woman to pay... at the same time I feel that when both are working, both should take up equal responsibility.

70% of both your pay checks go to common account from where you pay all common expenses .rent insurance or mortagage etc

30% of each pay check one can use for own expenses shopping sending home etc

We have a joint account and when we go out to eat, we pay through a joint account credit card. The credit card amount is automatically debited from the joint account every month so no issues there.

Best thing is to setup a joint account and drop 50% of both the salaries and use it to pay for rent/mortgage, bills, food and other house expenses. Use the other 50% of both the salaries for their individual car expenses, personal shopping expenses and the like.. if they want to save or invest, they can contribute to the savings account and plan accordingly..
