More than insecurity, its his last chance and he will go all out to become CM. If he misses the bus now, it’s as good as game over for Stalin.

Congress has nothing to loose or gain, at-least by going all alone and contesting in every seat on their own, they can aim for a decent vote share if not winnings now that Kalaingar and Thalaivi both are no more and oppurtunity for others has arose for the first time in 30-40 years.

Mannargudi mafia May be off the scene but they are pretty much present. They have money, caste support and sasikala knows inside and outside of everyone’s story.

RK Nagar by poll itself is an example of this mafia’s prowess. 

They are targetted by law, enforcement agencies and Tamilnadu govt also targetted them pretty much, so I think they will keep quiet at least upto 2024 general election
