Its not like only jathiratnalu is the only choice - sreekaram and gali sampath released - both got story and decent reviews. Both got dumped at box office. Why? It is the audience who chose to watch. They chose to watch kalakhandams like khaidi no. 150. Jathi ratnalu - too much publicity and trailer/ teaser/promotions are very clear that it is wacky, no logic comedy. They went, they laughed and even all big heroes really liked it. Whats your problem? Quote

It is strictly an average movie and the director actually used most of the jokes in 10 year old short film that did . search for "missed call" in youtube. One liners - saving grace is no hitting, no insulting , no vulgarity to generate laughs (like our 3vikram , vaitla movies). clean U certificate it shows people are so desperate for movies, that too for comedies after pandemic. No takers for serious movie yet, as only youth is coming out to movies. Quote
