Why to waste money going to H&R block.

1) Download latest W7 form from here https://www.irs.gov/individuals/individual-taxpayer-identification-number

2) Book an appointment with near by IRS service center using this link https://www.irs.gov/help/contact-your-local-irs-office

3) when you call them they will ask you to bring original passport along with completed W7 form.

You can also mail the completed W7 form to IRS but you need to send original passport in the mail not sure how long it will take. To avoid the delay, you can book an appointment and it will be done in one day.

I am waiting for EB3 EAD card so that they send  s s n also.  Then i will file my taxes.  Good that they extended to May

I am also waiting for my EAD and my wife doesn't have SSN before. While I am applying for her 485, I mentioned that she need SSN as well. Are they going to send EAD along with SSN or we need to apply for SSN after getting EAD? I am done with Biometrics. @Silent_Boy

@afacc123 There is a checkbox in 485 application whether we need SSN or not. I checked that checkbox but not sure if they are going to process SSN along with it. Anyways, there is nothing bad to ask that question. Thanks for the information bro.

i asked my colleague, his wife has been on H4 for 8 yrs.
he never had to do ITIN renewal anta, first time 2012 taxes chesinappudu  apply chesinadu anta.
