5-year-old raped by Muslim man while visiting temple with mother on Mahashivratri

5-year old girl who had gone along with her mother to a temple in UP to pray on the pious occasion of Mahashivratri was lured and raped by a Muslim man. The accused fled leaving the girl in a bloody state, but was later arrested by police. The girl is recovering in a hospital.

As per Amar Ujala, the incident occurred in Karhal area of Mainpuri district. The mother was inside the temple while the girl was playing outside. The accused, Irshad approached the girl and took her to a spot behind the temple.
