UK to USA

I am currently a British passport holder and getting paid around xxx GBP. My company is happy to send me to USA, I just got the offer which is literally a conversion of my GBP salary xxx *1.4 USD. The job is remote, I am planning to stay in Dallas, if I decided to go. Here are my questions:

Is this a decent salary in USA, it's pretty good in UK?

They are planning for L1B visa for me, Am I stuck with this employer until I get Green card?

Is the process for Greencard take 10 or more years?

Any suggestions are appreciated, I am confused right now if it's a good move for me or not. Main reason I want to go to USA is because of better opportunities and career growth.
