‘Kalam was a jihadi’, says priest of Ghaziabad temple where Muslim boy was beaten

The priest of a Ghaziabad temple, where a Muslim boy was thrashed for drinking water on its premises, targeted former president APJ Abdul Kalam on Tuesday over his religion, calling him a 'jihadi'.

“Any Muslim in the top echelons of the country cannot be pro-India and Kalam was a jihadi,” Dasna Devi Temple's Yati Narsinghanad Saraswati told reporters in Aligarh.

Levelling allegations without substance, he accused late Kalam of supplying the formula of the 'atom bomb to Pakistan as DRDO chief'.“Kalam had formed a cell in the Rashtrapati Bhawan where any Muslim could file his grievance,” the priest claimed.

already dozens of young muslim men/women languishing in jails, some even highly educated and from upper class, because they dared to speak up.

I need people to realize that trash talk is dangerous. How can one talk such bs about one of India's best. And the allegations leveled against him are really horrendous. btw kalam ji never really bothered about his "religion" or "identity".

That's the biggest mistake he did. He should've spoken up for muslim causes. He failed Indian muslims.

He was too busy getting good conduct certificate from middle class upwardly mobile Indians. Also, he wasn't too political anyway. Just another bureaucrat who was serving the system that made him who he was. 

These comments aired openly show how far India has come since Kalam was president. There's no need to give more oxygen to these kind of people in the national media. Better to ignore them.
