I dont support all privatization but fully support this. Why should such a poor tax payer pay for loss making airplane service. But this should be sold properly with good rate for govt - not give to corporate lobbyists.

Air india international is a golden goose , everyone will buy it asap . Main problem is the domestic operations and ground staff . 

It has high debt but also high land Bank , main issue is the bloated  and unfit workforce in domestic operations

Air India’s international route is a money spinner..on most of the routes it enjoys monopoly ..

Europe, China, Japan, North Africa la konni segments la ippatiki monopoly.

Air India was supposed to fly international only and after it got merged with Indian Airlines, troubles started for Air India. Of course it was already bleeding with bad fleet but considerable investment was made for fleet modernization, Merger with Indian Airlines made things tough for Air India’s turnaround.

Air India is still a lucrative deal if it operated only international..
