Under-30s are to be offered an alternative Covid jab to the AstraZeneca(covishield) vaccine due to the evidence linking it to rare blood clots, the UK's vaccine advisory body says.

Denmark becomes first country in Europe to abandon AstraZeneca's COVID vaccine

The decision was taken due to the vaccine's link with very rare cases of blood clots, the country's health agency said.

In Denmark, two recipients of the AstraZeneca vaccine have suffered severe blood clots, one of which was fatal.

Nevertheless, most vaccinations have been with the Pfizer-BioNTech jab.

vaccine thiskokunna pothunnaru ga janaalu... dani pi nee spandana enti? It killed many people...!!

COVID mass vaccination centre in Nice closes early after just 58 people turn up 

A mass vaccination centre in the French city of Nice closed early this weekend after just 58 of the 4,000 available doses were administered.

It closed after just a few hours on Saturday as footfall was too low, and amid claims that some people left on learning they would receive the AstraZeneca jab.
