Desi lu in Austin.. Austin vasulara oka chinna info

I would say take an apartment near your work. Its a generic statement but traffic in Austin is really bad. Once everything opens it will get worst.

best EANES ISD ... check apartments in the eanes isd area .     (home prices min $1m in this area)

next best Lake travis ISD  ..   ( home prices min $700k) 

next best round rock ISD  .. (home prices min $500k)

next best dripping springs ISD.   ..(home prices min $500k)

next best leander ISD. ... (home prices min $400k) .

 

Don't come to austin unless you make at least $150k house hold income.  It is not cheap anymore. 

looks like investors are buying lot of properties here.  Most of the properties got doubled in one year.

For example legacy trails in dripping springs sold 4000 sqft  1 acre lot for $560k last year and they are selling  2900 sqft home for $1.2m now.   crazy i say...

By the way the property tax is 2.4% to 3% here . So $$550k home   property tax would be around $12 to $15k per year

He said his work place was near airport so suggested not to go too far than those places :)

Riata apartments are full of desis.

Look for apartments on Metric Blvd - Full of desis.

Houses perspective, Leander, round rock is good until middle school - not sure about high school.

Austin lo schools bagundavu anedhi, I may not totally agree because there are tons and tons of indians already living in austin and suburbs.

Property tax high is correct - but if you find house in Austin, Round rock  it may not be as much. Leander, cedar park are growing in last 5 years hence higher property taxes. Even in Austin area, minimum is 2% - property tax.

by the way riata apartments doesn't fall under good school any more. 

 

where can he find a house with austin address in a good school area?   only area Circle C or Oak hill which is also becoming expensive.  

you hardly find homes with 2% property tax , the min property tax is 2.4% ...  any new area 2.75 to 3.125 %.  

i don't advise people with a remote job moving to austin.
