Chiranjeevi Tweets For Visakha Steel Plant

Megastar and former Union Minister K Chiranjeevi tweeted on Thursday advising the Central government to rethink on privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Quoting the reports of a special train reaching the steel plant to take 150 metric tonns of oxygen to Maharastra, Chirajeevi questioned the rationale behind the Central government’s decision.

“The steel plant is producing 100 metric tonns of oxygen per day and is supplied to different states across the country, which is battling the second wave of Covid,” Chiranjeevi said. 

Oxygen is in greater demand now with hospitals across the country running out of stocks and covid patients struggling and suffering. 

“When the country is struggling for oxygen the steel plant is supplying the life-saving product. How can such a plant be privatised?” Chiranjeevi asked. 

Will the people who matter at the Central government open their eyes and ears at least now and save the steel plant?
