Scope of the state vs central is the explanation. LDF in Kerala did the same. Karnataka in which there are no elections have already announced free vaccines. This has nothing to do with BJP or TMC as a party. It’s just the State governments policy and scope of action per se

Who is even talking about centre or state? I am condemning the statement made by the BJP party within Bengal who used the statement of " providing free vaccines if they are voted to power". Vaccines should not be a part of elections manifesto at least in times like these. What mamata, karnataka or kerala etc.. or all the states are doing is correct. Making vaccine available (free or not whatever). This should not be related to elections in any way.

BJP promised free vaccines as part of election manifesto and same with Mamata. How are they two different? BJP/NDA is in the central government and the idea behind the OP is the assumption that BJP did something at the central and something else at the state. That is an incorrect understanding
