The point was how the approx 4 million train commuters on a any single day in Mumbai local trains or hundreds of other public places with millions of people any different from kumbhamela with 9.1 million spread out over a few days.

Ok sure. How is it any different from any other gathering since have seen tons of other gatherings? We have no quantifiable proof that this spread happened because of that one single event.

Centre role is only advisory and they can advise based on the data. There is no other way to do it is the point. If states have owned up the testing responsibility already centre cannot intervene.

No hypocrisy brother. The point is simple, State’s role in taking care of the subjects health takes precedence over the union’s role. Im failing to understand why state’s should not be held accountable? Let the states get credit where it is due. There is no second thought about it.
