If client permits, you can write contract directly to you instead of your employer and can make it work that way. That way you won’t work on H1b.

Max 3 months if more than that payroll should be paid in India and taxes to india 

that is what I know, if you are very lucky you can escape the port of entry

Fte and HR legal department doesn’t know I was in India. Since it’s wfh anyway I did not inform. Only Manger knows .
