Go to Brave browser settings
There select the option Hide Brave Rewards button - enable it
Then go to Trackers & ads blocking - select aggressive. 

Close all your brave browser tabs and re-open. 
No more ads, worked for me perfectly.

Nope that breaks scripts , you can't see embedded content like insta , Twitter content etc....
