It's bull**it. When something is beyond your tiny brain to comprehend, you tend to believe in superstitions. This current Covid situation is just a part and process of natural evolution. Strong will survive and weak will perish. Nature follows its own course no matter how you feel just to keep check on both living and non-living beings. Nothing is permanent, everything will evolve, advance and transform. When you don't understand the difference between creation and evolution countries like India will exist and suffer.
