I have been using Neato for past 5 years one of the best no issues till now.

With irobot and roomba be careful what you choose. There are two types of navigation that these robo vaccums use. image based and Lidar based. Always go with  Lidar, they are more accurate. Image based have cameras to track their position, and some time don't work in dark. iRobot and Roomba moved to Lidar recently they heavily invested on image before.  As every one I too got infatuated  with cool names like iRobot and Roomba, and  I scolded my wife for buying Neato, when she researched online and bought the robo vaccum without consulting me. After five years I would say I was wrong, its works like a charm and when I researched the Lidar technology, its best suited for indoors tracking.

 

May be not for self driving cars as per Elon Musk
