[b]Pandu Murder: Gadde, Kambhampati In Tight Spot[/b]:

The murder of Vijayawada Telugu Desam Party leader Chalasani Venkateshwara Rao alias Pandu in Hyderabad pushed two other senior TDP leaders in tight spot.

Though the police did not reveal the names of these two TDP leaders, the media has brought them to light within no time: [b]they are former chief whip Gadde Babu Rao and former Rajya Sabha member Kambhampati Rammohan Rao[/b]. Both of them are said to be partners of Pandu in the land purchased in Visakhapatnam, the settlement of which had led to his murder by his follower Mahender Reddy.

As everybody knows media is well-known for making speculations without any basis. So, there was a talk in the media on Monday that both Gadde and Kambhampati also had a dispute with Pandu with regard to share in the land and their role in the murder also cannot be ruled out. But, fortunately for them, the police have so far not come out with any such suspicion. Yet, the two leaders are worried as to how the case would take a turn.

There was also another suspicion in the media. Pandu happened to be a close friend of Rajya Sabha member Nandamuri Harikrishna and it was because of the latter that he had got the assembly ticket thrice in the past, though there was a tough competition from another TDP leader Daivabhaktuni Subba Rao, who later shifted loyalties to the Congress. Now, even Subba Rao’s role is being suspected by the media.
