A cool plant in our garden

May flower , because it flowers in may just before the rainy season starts . 

If the rains are delayed it will bloom in June,July. Useful as a rough indicator when monsoon starts.  it bloomed on time in 2015, 2020

Looks like this when bloomed , last year's pic 

In 3,4 months whole plant sheds leaves and goes dormant again until next year

Our mango trees have also started fruiting , here's one of larger ones  next to a iphone.
