They won't. they don't have to.

it is connected to the silly belief that their native medicine is world class.

Also they don't want to foot the bill for expanded healthcare access to everyone in India. So they encourage these types of medicines under the pretext of free market.

Nothing to do with the Indian Government...three phase trails tarvata they are supposed to do some follow ups and publish/provide the findings to WHO...and Bharat Biotech is in the process. Suchitra Ella interview vunde 3/4 days back where she explains the approval process and expects to complete the approval process by June end..
