Be_happy
Oils that have higher smoking point are good for Indian cooking.. canola oil, avocado oil etc annamata.. olive oil, extra Virgin olive oil, coconut oil etc have lower smoking points. These oils are better consumed with salads or breads. not ideal for Indian style cooking as we tend to cook the food longer at higher temperatures. Key take away here is to know the smoking point of each of the oils and choose accordingly. I use canola for deep fries as it is cheaper option compared to avocado oil. For light cooking and salads, I use extra Virgin olive oil as it is cold pressed.

Popular Post zarathustra
Avocado oil for regular cooking, it's pricey but I think it's worth it. Macadamia nut oil kooda vaada previously. I don't eat fried foods anymore at home so need of frying, edanna frying cheyalante use air fryer now. Also use ghee(home made, made from Kerrygold brought at Costco) liberally.
