shop around 4-5 dealers..just call find their price and hang up..valle call chestaru back..start asking whats the best price..use that price at other dealers..if the dont reduce price ask some additional features or 2-3 free service vouchers like oil change etc...max oka 5-10% taggite goppa..

if they have lot of inventory to let go. you get a good deal..end of sep is best as its end of month/quarter/year for them and they just want to clear the inventory first

if you are in east coast .. search for New Hampshire dealers ... on phone call it self you get 2-4K discount.

Right now any car that is  moderately in demand will not have any discount aside from corporate incentives due to chips shortages + low production

your best bet is to wait for another year for things to stabilize or buy a model that has low demand. 

On side note ,why  Honda pilot? It is one of the worst car in its class and it will be replaced with entirely new gen soon.

Toyota Highlander is just a better option in every department , the higher base price will eventually pay back at the time you sell it.

Lol this doesn't work now . most of the dealer lots are empty , they have only cars no one wants to purchase
