its not mockery - its pride. People love their dogs - sometime more than their family members. So they are passing on their caste to their dogs too.

Caste pride anedhi okkati vacchaka - inka discrmination lekunda vuntadha ? they may control in some areas eventually inevitable. But why do you need caste pride ? it shows insecurity.
