Saturday close friend sister died due to COVID in Chennai Villivakkam General Hospital.

She expired at 11AM and her number was 226. This is the count from 12AM to 11 AM on Last Saturday. 

Overall Deaths in TN were just 448. Now you can Imagine.

except mah, everyone faking death numbers in the second wave.

Telangana, Kerala, Gujarat, UP started this faking in the first wave itself.

Other than Germany, the numbers from US, UK are mostly right. There may be some data fudging here and there, but not to the extent that happened in India.

UK variant came about because of their stupid policy in the beginning. Indian variant(s) did because of complete failure of Indian govt to even have anything resembling a policy.

Its good that india is put in its place now and then, in the international arena where it doesn't belong with the top nations. I hope there are more hard hitting reports that show the world how pathetic Indian administration is.

Multiply the current death toll by 10.. that's the right number.

around 30lakh people died of covid in India.

number of cases is immaterial at this point for a general picture.
