I don't understand the purpose of crypto, So never invested in it. If you want to invest, I would suggest not to put everything or a lot in it. May be 2% of your entire portfolio.

purpose of crypto ?

if you stay in developed/developing countries then you don't see the purpose. For people whose currency is devalued every year by 1000% and cannot access US dollar or some other currency. To mitigate to avoid devaluation Bitcoin and other crypto stable coins like Dai help them mitigate the devaluation of their currency. Defi is permissionless which helps everybody, doesn't' matter where they live. They have same financial tools as the person living in USA if they want to become rich. ETH apps like AAVE where they can borrow and SNX(Synthetix) when they can have access to US stocks price movements. uniswap exchange where users can provide liquidity and gain income from trasaction fees. gitcoin which helps people with grants for the work they do. there are Sh!t loads of use cases with crypto.
