CBI and its utter wastefulness on the name of investigation

చిన్నప్పుడు  ఊర్లో పాల కేంద్రం దగ్గరకు ఈనాడు పేపర్ వచ్చేది.

అందులో "బొఫోర్స్" కేసు అంటు ప్రతిరోజు ఏదోక న్యూస్ వస్తా ఉండేది.

అప్పట్లో అంత ఆలోచించే వయసు కాదు కదా..

పేపర్లు చదవడం మొదలెట్టాక తెలిసింది. అసలు ఈ "బొఫోర్స్" ఏంటో ..ఆ కేసేంటే అని.

 

రాజీవ్‌ గాంధీ ప్రధానిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు ఈ కుంభకోణం స్వీడన్‌కు చెందిన ఆయుధాల తయారీ సంస్థ బోఫోర్స్‌ నుంచి రూ.1,437 కోట్లు విలువ చేసే హొవిడ్జర్‌ శతఘ్నులు కొనుగోలు చేయడానికి 1986లో ఒప్పందం కుదిరింది. ఆ తర్వాత ఆ కంపెనీ రూ.64 కోట్లు లంచంగా చెల్లించినట్టు ఆరోపణలు.

ఈ సొమ్ము కొందరు రాజకీయ నాయకులు, కాంగ్రెస్‌ నేతలు, అధికారులకు లంచాలుగా వెళ్లినట్టు 1988లో సీబీఐ కేసు నమోదు చేసింది. 1999 జనవరి 4 నుంచి 2001 ఏప్రిల్‌ 30 వరకు సీబీఐ డైరెక్టర్‌గా పనిచేసిన రాఘవన్‌ ఈ కేసుపై దర్యాప్తు మొదలెట్టాడు. కాంగ్రెస్‌ మద్దతుతో 1990-1991 మధ్య పనిచేసిన చంద్రశేఖర్‌ ప్రభుత్వం, 1991-96నాటి పీవీ నరసింహారావు సర్కారు, 2004-14 మధ్య ఉన్న మన్మోహన్‌ సింగ్‌ ప్రభుత్వం దర్యాప్తును ముందుకు సాగనీయలేదని ఈ మధ్య ఎక్కడో ఇదే రాఘవన్ చెప్పినట్టు గుర్తు

అయితే ఈ లంచం సొమ్ము రాజీవ్‌ గాంధీకి, కాంగ్రెస్‌ నాయకులకు అందినట్టు ఎలాంటి సాచ్చికాలు దొరకలా.. అసలు ఈ కేసులో లంచం విలువ తొక్కలోది రూ.64 కోట్లు కాగా, దర్యాప్తునకు రూ.250 కోట్లు ఖర్చయిందంట. అయినా దీంట్లో దోషి ఎవడో తేలకపోవడంతో ఇంకా జనం సొమ్ము వేస్ట్ చేయడం మంచిదికాదని చెప్పి 2011లో కేసును సీబీఐ ప్రత్యేక న్యాయస్థానం కొట్టివేసింది.ఇది మన దర్యాప్తు సంస్ధల పనితనం ..

scam was confirmed from outside the country, indian agencies and congress ensured evidences are destroyed

Funnily the Italians were the ones that sent him to jail and the nationalists are the ones having backroom deals with him
