ShruteSastry Posted June 15, 2021 Report Posted June 15, 2021 Step One: Download Transmission Transmission is the program you will use to download the media you are trying to watch. Think of it as your personal assistant that will scurry out to the dark corners of the internet and piece together your file for you. You can download Transmission here. Step Two: Use Zooqle.com to Find the Movie or Show You Want to Watch At last, you don’t need to wade through shady sites to find the files you want. Zooqle.com is like one of those shady sites that got itself cleaned up, moved off of the streets, and opened a respectable-looking shop on Main Street… from which it ran its pirate empire out of the back door. Zooqle is clean, easy to use, and has a huge selection. To use the site, just type what you’re looking for in the search bar (and close out any ads that pop up). The search page will give you a range of choices for the quality of file you would like to download. Find one that says “DVD” or “BlueRay.” Those will be the best quality. You’ll see these blue, green, and orange bars next to each file. They give you a sense of how long your download will take and what size the file will be. Without going into too much detail here, most movies are in the 1-2GB range unless they are super high-quality (like the image above). The number in the green bar gives you a sense of how long the download will take. Popular movies are in the 1,000’s and will download very fast. Next, you will see a screen like this. Click the “Magnet” link under the “Download” sidebar. Your file will start downloading. If you have already downloaded Transmission, click on the downloaded file. When you see the screen below, click “Add” and Transmission will start downloading the file. Once Transmission tells you your file is totally downloaded, move on to Step Three. Step Three: Download VLC Think of VLC as a super can-opener for media files. No matter what type of media file it is, VLC is your best chance of opening it on your computer. For some reason, the logo for VLC is a little traffic cone. Find the file on your computer, right-click on it, then select “Open With” then “Other” (if VLC is not already set as your default media player). Find VLC on the list and BOOM, your movie will start playing. Good luck, pirate. Quote
